The following information relates to Residential or Personal NBN SkyMuster plans that are delivered over the NBN SkyMuster satellite network. The information is to assist in understanding and making informed choices about NBN services offered by InfiNET Broadband. The information will help you prepare to migrate to the NBN or relocate to another connection type.
InfiNET Broadband offer only two NBN speed tiers. A speed tier is a theoretical maximum speed that is available during off-peak periods. The actual speed that you experience may be less, especially during busy periods.

* Actual speeds may vary for a number of reasons. Some include: Poor-quality routers, distance from the router using Wi-Fi or interference, old or inferior cabling/wiring. InfiNET Broadband will be able to help find or rule out some of the issues that might be causing these problems & suggest ways to fix them. InfiNET will continue to collect data & our NBN Key Facts sheet will be updated to reflect peak speeds as they change.
Please visit our page for full details on the various NBN access technologies and how they work. If it’s established, your connection isn’t capable of supporting the chosen plan and speed tier, you will have the option to move to a lower plan (if available), remain on the selected plan or cancel your service and exit your contract if applicable without penalty.
If there are any medical/security alarm services you want to use, they must be checked for compatibility with an NBN service. Please contact the provider of your medical or security alarm service to advise on options.
• SkyMuster Plus Services are assigned with CGNAT IPv4 Address via IPoE. Static IP Costs $5 extra per month
• No Fixed Term, Minimum 1 Month service commitment
• Limit of 1 Sky Muster Plus service per premises (LOC)
• UNI-D Access Rates are 25Mbps/5Mbps. Average Evening Speed is 20Mbps
• Not available for Business Users where there are more than 20 FT Employees or for use in Backhaul, Bonding or Public Wifi Systems
• Further nbn may deprioritise data transfers or reduce the maximum data transfer rate of any plan contributing disproportionately to Beam capacity utilisation (atypical usage included)
• SkyMuster Plus Premium has a Supplementary Burst that may be able to achieve bursts of up to the Plan Speed download and 5Mbps upload from time to time. nbn does not guarantee that the new SkyMuster Plus plan will achieve burst wholesale download speeds of the subsubcribed plan. Achievable burst speeds are subject to network capacity at the time of transfer (which varies over time based on aggregate usage of the network by all end customers) and may also be dependent on the specifications of end customer equipment. To proactively protect and ensure fair access to the nbn broadband access network for all users, nbn may from time to time at its discretion, shape the following to maximum wholesale upload and download speeds of 256kbps on the SkyMuster Plus Premium including Uploads and downloads via peer to peer, Software/Application updates, Streaming Video between 12AM Midnight and 4PM, VPN between 12AM Midnight and 4PM, Uploads and downloads to cloud storage platforms, PC and smartphone operating system updates, software/application updates, gaming software updates and any other activity related to applications which nbn cannot identify
• Fair Use conditions also apply including routinely transferring large files via email greater than 20M, software updates for more than 20 unique devices or masking/manipulating traffic to be seen as another type of traffic or excessive automated polling, refreshing, or scraping of websites.
