What is OptiCommâ„¢?
OptiCommâ„¢ is a large supplier of private fibre networks throughout Australia and is privately owed but he OptiCommâ„¢ group. The fibre network is primarily rolled out to new development such as new land estates, residential buildings and large commercial complexes. The OptiCommâ„¢ fibre network is very reliable and has capacity (being fibre) to provide super-fast high speed internet to its customers on this network.

Are there connection fee's when connecting to OptiCommâ„¢ network?
Yes – OptiCommâ„¢ charges you a connection fee for connecting to their network. Normally the fee to connect is $99.00 inc GST. InfiNET Broadband offers a waiver of the standard connection fee by offering terms of commitment if you stay with us here are our terms:Â 24 months $0 / 12 months $45.00 / 0 months $99.00.
There are other circumstances where you will be charged a new development charge of $330.00 inc GST. This is applicable when the residential or commercial dwelling has never been connected before. This fee is NOT something we will cover.Â

What type of technology types does OptiCommâ„¢ provide?
All OptiCommâ„¢ residential & business internet plans are a all FTTP (Fibre to the Premise) technology. Internet plans available with the capacity of up to 1000mbps.Â
What modem/router do I need to connect to OptiCommâ„¢?
OptiCommâ„¢ uses a router with WAN ports. Most routers and modems have a WAN port. All you need to do once we activate your internet service is to connect the ethernet cable from the activated port on the ONT (OptiCommâ„¢ box), usually port 1Â and connect the other end of the cable into the WAN port of your router/modem, our support team will assist with getting your setup and connected.Â
BYO modems are find also, most if not all modem/routers are compatible with the OptiCommâ„¢ service.
What speeds does OptiCommâ„¢ offer on their network?
There are six speed tiers to choose from when connecting to OptiComm™ – Fibre 25 (25Mbps) Fibre 50 (50Mbps), and Fibre 100 (100Mbps), Fibre 250 (250Mbps), Fibre 1000 (1000Mbps).
